“C’n Ah ditch th’ shirt?” It’d match more for the dead look Petrel’s going for. Really shirts are just uncomfy and difficult to wear.

*coughs* I get the feeling I may have insinuated something about Archer through my portrayal...
A hobby, an art, a kink, and a part of his job --- torture is all of these things to him, but some more than others given on the nature, context and purpose of said torture, and the victim.
It’s no secret that Archer is quite the sadist, right alongside his boss. He’s particularly efficient at it for his ability to pinpoint the fears and weaknesses of others through psychological observation and manipulation. He’ll poke and prod at a person’s mentality in order to understand what makes them tick.
Often torture is a facet of his job as an executive, particularly when it involves interrogations or punishment. He has to be more professional and exercise a level of finesse when it comes to these scenarios, especially if the victim is more useful to Team Rocket alive and mentally coherent than not. Archer can get a bit overzealous, but he always prioritizes the team’s benefit over his own in matters like these.
When it’s personal, his priorities change. He’s known to have a similar sadistic streak in the bedroom, though those kinds of scenarios emphasize mutual pleasure from the same act. Though Archer may feel sexual arousal and gratification from torturing others, regardless of its nature, the Executive draws a clear line between his “victims” and his “partners”. Very rarely does that line ever get crossed.
His most common methods of torture involve tools like fire / temperature, water, knives, psychology, trauma to the hands or feet, asphyxiation, sensory deprivation and humiliation. It isn’t uncommon for his Pokémon to take part in the professional sessions, with Houndoom the most frequent choice. If the person’s life isn’t of consequence, his favorite and signature way of execution is burning them alive -- slowly.

then put the burst heart into a box and put that box inside of another box and mail the box to yourself, and when it arrives smash it with a hammer
or, to save on postage i’ll just poison it
‘ i see that you heeded me, petrel. ‘ admittedly was he proud, pleased with how quickly the other had managed to shape up for the event. while he did not expect it to last, it was a nice, brief glimmer of hope that petrel would mind himself.

‘ by no means does my defense of you mean your behavior is excusable. don’t think i haven’t heard you harassing matori. ‘ you test him every day, petrel. but today you especially test him.

❝ I din’t eat no Twinkies. But I really want some. Do you ‘ave any? ❞ The child was wiggling around in Petrel’s arms, her head moving back and forth. ❝ Twinkies! ❞ Look what you did, Petrel.
She came at an inconvenient time, it seemed--some side discussion about the high numbers that had been her bet--when she overhears something she probably shouldn’t have. Now may not be the time and place to confront Petrel on it, but Arceus help him the first chance she gets to pull him aside. She wears a saccharine-sweet smile, a sign of absolutely nothing good coming.
“I’m curious; what was that about a kidnapping I overheard?” No subtlety here. She wants an answer. | @disguyses found dead in miami
