As someone who also adores Persuasion, I will not be watching the Netflix version. The actors are fine, but the script has been turned into some tongue-in-cheek comedy. There's no longing, no deep emotions of any kind from what I've been told. It's supposed to be witty but the jokes I've seen in gifsets all miss the mark. If they had made it into its own original movie and characters, it may have been fun. But instead they un-buried Persuasion's corpse and made it into a clown puppet. -100/10
