For Household Purposes
Sprinkle about all dark corners, neglected and musty places a solution of one part pure Klorisol and ten parts water.
To Destroy Sewer Gas
Saturate cloths with pure Klorisol and hang as near as possible over the outlet of a wash basin, sink or water closet; at night spread the cloth directly over the bowl, covering the opening entirely, if possible. Each day pour a small quantity of pure Klorisol down the drain pipe.
For Urinals and Water Closets
With a solution of one part pure Klorisol and four parts of water, wash the bowls, sprinkle the floor and scrub the wood-work. Pour a small quantity of pure Klorisol into
the bowls occasionally.
For Cesspools, etc.
To neutralize Privy Vaults, Cesspools, or any putrefying mass, use pure Klorisol
freely. After the mass has been disinfected frequently sprinkle about a solution of one
part pure Klorisol and four parts of water.
CAUTION--Klorisol is intended for disinfectant purposes only, and [unlined] must not be

For the Sick Room
Sprinkle the bedding and room with a solution of one part pure Klorisol and ten parts of water, and keep hanging in the room a sheet or towel saturated with pure Klorisol. The bowls and jars, after being cleaned, should always be well rinsed with a solution of one part Klorisol and three parts of water, some of the solution being allowed to remain in the vessels. In cases of fevers and all contagious diseases spray the room frequently with a solution of one part pure Klorisol and four parts water.
After Surgical Operations
Wash the hands with pure Klorisol and immediately rinse off with water, and an anti-septic after surgical operations and post-mortem examinations.
For Embalming Purposes
Use full-strength Klorisol. Wash the entire body and inject from one to two quarts, keeping a saturated cloth over the face and stomach.
For General Use
For all general disinfecting purposes not specified, use one part Klorisol to ten of water. This solution sprinkled in Cellars, Barns, Stables. and all out-of-the-way places which are likely to become damp and foul- smelling, will keep them sweet and clean.
