Which do you like better?
Wake up, babe, I got a website now!
First article is posted, too! It's basically just an expansion of my earlier Tumblr post on Amiga diskmags, though.
Diskmags and BBSes centred on creative writing?
Just a little call for resources!
I've found a few Star Trek-based diskmags that contain fanfic and horror ones containing original amateur fiction but I'm seeking more; does anybody know of any diskmags specifically focused on publishing comics, prose, poetry, and fanfic? Any digital-fanzines from the 80s and 90s that were focused on none-Trek fandoms? Did anybody here work on diskmags back in the day?
While the ever-excellent textfiles.com has a pretty sizable archive of fiction and poetry that was uploaded to bulletin board systems in the 80s and 90s, it, sadly, has little information on which specific BBSes were *focused* on creative writing besides acknowledging that they existed. Was anybody on here involved in or have any additional resources pertaining to this part of the BBS scene? Archives, screenshots, or even photographs of those boards would be GREATLY appreciated.
I'd also love to have a chat with anyone involved with any of this stuff back in the day so I can get some additional context!
