Ahhh, the sweet sweet glory of childhood trauma. I sincerely apologise for my role in traumatising you all. I was decently well known by this point in my career, if you were a kid or had kids you had definitely seen my face or heard my voice at least once, but this role absolutely kickstarted my career, it’s only been up since here. I met my bestfriend, Josh, on the set of this movie and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

Tangled Rapunzel
Definitely one of my most known Disney roles. I play Rapunzel in both the animated movie and the live action movie. I get a lot of attention because of the singing aspect of this movie, having such a powerful voice at a young age helped me get more singing roles in the future.
Tangled 2017 was so greatly anticipated and will forever be one of the best live action Disney movies. It had millions of dollars put into the cast alone, having many A list actors such as Winona Ryder, Jack Black, Jonathan Bailey, Jason Momoa, Dwayne Johnson, Peter Dinklage, And more.

POTC: On stranger tides Syrena
The promo for this movie was particularly annoying as it was being filmed and released not long after I got legally adopted by Winona Ryder (and my dad but he is irrelevant). Questions of “isn’t it awkward?” and “You know he dated your mother right?”followed us to nearly every interview. Yes of course I know they dated. They were like the biggest couple of the 90’s. Johnny and I have had the questions asked once or twice before as we’ve filmed 4 other movies together and I’ve always had a closeness to Winona, but this is getting annoying. The only awkwardness is right here right now because YOU asked that question.
It also came with a little bit of a scandal because of my age while playing the role. My character, Syrena, a captive mermaid taken by the pirate crew, is portrayed as topless despite me being fully clothed while filming. The scandal died down quickly but there’s still discussion over the years about if it was an appropriate role because of my age. Thankfully there was no backlash on me or the franchise.

Frozen Elsa & Anna
When it was released that I’d be playing both Anna and Elsa in the movies, some people were concerned that it would be difficult to differentiate between characters because of their voice sounding the same. By now the fans and critics should know that accents are a right of passage when it comes to characters I play. If anyone has watched more than 1 of my movies they should know that no 2 characters sound the same as I never use my true Aussie accent in my films. The 2 characters are easily distinguishable with your eyes closed, sounding sisterly similar, but different in the pitches of their voice and their speech patterns.

The Greatest Showman Anne Wheeler
Holy shit I love this movie so much. All of my fans know I love a good musical, so when I was announced to be in yet another one everyone was super excited. I get to show off my dancing skills, flexibility and yet another skill learnt as I bend and flip amongst silk. Not to mention Hugh Jackman and Zack Efron.
