Ok I’ve got to have a bit of a rant about the chronology of the old Aladdin movies.

The first Aladdin makes perfect sense. It just sort of happens, there’s no confusion there.

Then we have the return of Jafar, set not long after the first film. Maybe a few weeks, a couple months, it can’t have been too long.

Now this is where it gets confusing. In Aladdin and the king of thieves, the song ‘there’s a party here in agrabah’ states that “without jafar and all of his malice, everybody has celebrated all night long,” suggesting that it is set just one day after the return of jafar. This works fine, until we take into account the film enchanted tales: follow your dreams. Iago is still with Jasmine, so it must be before King of Thieves, because Iago leaves at the end of that film with Cassim. However, Jasmine states that “Aladdin and genie have been away for a few days” in the beginning of Follow your Dreams. But if King of thieves is to be believed, this takes place in the few hours between return of jafar and king of thieves. Which doesn’t make sense as Follow your Dreams spans two days. So did Iago come back from his jaunt with Cassim? Are Aladdin and Jasmine married in Follow your Dreams? I don’t see a ring. I’m just hella confused about this timeline. Please help me
