Instructions: Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. In a mixing bowl, sift together the powdered sugar and almond flour to remove lumps. Set aside. In a separate clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the sifted powdered sugar and almond flour mixture into the egg whites until the batter is smooth and glossy. Divide the batter into two equal portions. Add red food coloring gel to one portion and black food coloring gel to the other. Fold gently until the desired colors are achieved.
