I had a dream where Elsa, after that fateful incident as a child, was invited to the X-Men Academy, and instead of isolating and being terrified of herself she grew in confidence and self-esteem and ability. Back in Arendelle the same stuff happened, parents died, Anna was literally alone save for palace staff and all that kind of stuff. Elsa came back to be queen and Anna was all about Hans and Elsa told her no as usual and Anna got pissed off at her like "um excuse you, you spend more than half my life at some boarding school and come back acting like you know me and can tell me what to do??? No bye" and left and Elsa, having control of herself this time, didn't shoot ice anywhere or run away, and she thought Anna would cool off but nOPE Anna tried to run away with Hans in the night. They got caught, Elsa and Hans had a showdown over Anna and she shot ice at him, and that's how Anna found out about Elsa's powers because their parents were still dicks and hid it from her even though Elsa was learning to embrace it all that time, and Anna got scared and was all OMG HANS U R HURT and took him inside and insisted on helping him heal and all that. Meanwhile he wouldn't shut up about how the queen tried to kill him and Elsa kept denying and Anna was like NO SHE THREW ICE OUT OF HER HANDS AND INTO HIS CHEST, so tensions were rising everywhere and Elsa was like "crap" and left in a let's-believe-the-little-princess-and-this-nice-prince witch hunt. But instead of retreating to an ice castle, she went Nancy Drew and went to the Southern Isles to investigate what the heck is Hans' deal, met Kristoff and Sven on the way, and she managed to piece together OH NO HE WANTS TO TAKE OVER MY KINGDOM and knew she had to get back and stop him before anything bad could happen to Anna. So they all raced back, and they got there as the wedding was about to begin, and they charged in there all "I OBJECT!!!" and Elsa exposed Hans, and she explained to the people that yes she has powers and made Olaf as a demonstration but she has a handle on them and would never use them for ill, and meanwhile Hans was panicked like "crap almost out of options here, what do I do???" and he whipped out a dagger and held it to Anna's neck all MOVE AND I WILL DO IT and took her and Elsa and Kristoff went after them. Anna knew Elsa was right all along and was trying to defend herself and another showdown happened, and Hans managed to get Elsa to aim her ice just right that it ricocheted off the shiny part of some statue thing (I don't really understand how that worked but dream Disney physics, I guess) and hit Anna, so she was down in the heart, Elsa was understandably like "ANNA NO D:" and fell down beside her and sisterly love things and Hans, gloating, slipped on a patch of ice too near the edge and fell off the balcony. He didn't die, but he was incapacitated and arrested. Anna still punched him. Elsa triumphantly returned to the throne, Anna realized she didn't need to cling to anyone who showed her affection and to not rush into relationships so quickly and had a new world to go through with her sister, and Kristoff got with Elsa instead.
