Today's in dispatch hell:
- Customer needs a trailer swap... TODAY. No, it can't wait until Monday. We don't care that you don't have a driver.
- Find a driver for the customer's swap. Their dispatcher refuses to tell me who it is for over an hour. Finally get the name, same driver has been assigned 5 other loads today. Oh well, not my circus.
- driver's dispatcher wants loads to be ran in certain order. Trucks for the first two are not ready to go yet. The one he wants done last is ready to go as it was assigned yesterday. Guess the driver's waiting around for a while. Not my problem, I'm not paid enough to care.
- Another dispatcher ships a load that has not been assigned a driver and ignores the actual load that has been assigned. Easy fix, but annoying.
It's only 10 am.
