the coach being an introject/kin/alterhuman of a character who is a coach/personal trainer/etc, and the athlete being an introject/kin/alterhuman of a character they coached
non-rose/tertiary attraction like aesthetic, lupisthetic, experistudial, etc
the coach being a system coach or caretaker of some kind
the athlete genuinely wanting to become stronger in some way and the coach believing they have the knowledge/experience to help them
the athlete being dissophysi, dissostrength, desirdae etc using this relationship to cope or relieve dysphoria
the athlete having delusions/alternate beliefs of being a famous athlete and the coach wanting to help them find an outlet that is risk-aware and safer due to only being between them
