Repotted this group of aloe that needed a fresh pot. I guess I didn’t realize how many were fitting together until I broke them all apart! One reason I like this plant is the way the plants only grow in two directions as opposed to many other aloe that grow in a rosette form.
Distichous phyllotaxis, also called "two-ranked leaf arrangement" is a special case of either opposite or alternate leaf arrangement where the leaves on a stem are arranged in two vertical columns on opposite sides of the stem.
