We first encountered Mrs. Ndeti as Guest of Honour at the first public celebration of International Women’s Day in Binga Centre. In her office, we found her working with a team of women staff; including also a lady driver. We got interest what might have been her way becoming a woman in a leadership position and encouraging other women to stand on their own feed; and how she experiences her work and role in rural Binga as a woman leader.
Here, she shares with us parts of her story and, her compassionate mentorship for the women and girls in Binga. She describes for us in detail what daily life means for the rural women in this remote part of the country and the effects on the women themselves and the community.
She acknowledges Zubo Trust’s exemplary work among the local women and its uplifting effect; “Zubo makes women see the light…!”
