He hummed quietly, his arms behind his head. “The girl’s kinda hot. Not my type though," he thought, stretching himself on the large bed. "Maybe she’d go for me if I acted nice." Brutus chuckled, "Nah. Totally not worth it.”

Favorite season and why?
[ Gale really enjoys both fall and spring —— He enjoys fall because of the smell, and the crisp sound of the leaves beneath his feet. It is, however, a guilty pleasure. Objectively, fall is bad for his hunting, the sound giving him away and the crisp air making him easier for his prey to smell. But he loves it, it’s beautiful and fresh, something that he never experiences in the Seam, making it all the more precious. Something he has for just himself. He enjoys Spring because it’s rebirth. Everything is new and clean and beautiful. The grass sprouting up from the ground, the way the meadow looks as all the flowers begin to bloom. Animals are coming out of hibernation, so he and his family eat well. Spring is the time of survival, the baby animals feeling much like himself. If they all make it to spring each year, surviving the harsh winter, it’s like a new opportunity to start their lives, like the baby birds chirping from the nest. To Gale, spring is equivalent to rebirth, which is something he feels they all need. ]
How do they react to praise?
[ Praise is not something Seam children are particularly accustomed to. Their parents are so worn, so spent that they really don't have the energy at the end of the day to praise every small accomplishment of their child. His father used to offer him praise for small things, when he succeeded in creating an intricate knot for a snare, when he got good grades in school ---- small things, but they meant a lot to Gale. Since his father died, he's not been the target of much praise, so he doesn't really know how to react. Half of him doesn't believe it, because he has learned too quickly of the selfishness of the human race, and that most praise is offered to reach an ulterior motive, but the other half feels like a kid again, showing his report card to his father and getting his hair rustled and a smile. Praise is complicated, mixed with both nostalgia and suspicion. ]
Do they prefer daytime or nighttime and why?
[ Gale prefers the daytime. He likes the way the sun filters through the leaves of trees and hits the forest floor, the dust particles seen in a beam of light. He likes the warmth of the sun on his skin, not like the stuffy humidity he finds in the bottom of a mine, this warmth is pure and clean. Not only is it more comfortable, but it's also more practical. One can't exactly hunt after nightfall, as they don't have much technology in District 12, and if they did have lights, the things they hunt would be quickly alerted of their presence. Gale prefers the daytime, he doesn't much care for darkness. Darkness reminds him too much of the mines, of the nightmares he has that he too will meet a fiery demise in its depths, that he will become his father in the only way he'd want not to. ]
