What Is "#R2K" ?

#R2K is the acronym I’ve decided to brand for my upcoming project, “The Roaring 2000's: Beauties & The Beast". More Importantly, #R2K has a few running themes that make it what is. For those who have been following my music for  while, may have noticed with my last project (Million Dollar Dream$), it closes out my day to day story with the title track "The Roaring 2000's" which is a smooth jazz feel to relax to. In my past days, I've had a crazy experience with nightlife and all that comes with it. That alone is primary reason why I don't make many "club bangers", but in this upcoming project I'll bring you into a world  of my own which consist of the type of club a more mature audience would like to be present in (it's also a long term goal to own a lounge called "The Roaring 2000's").

This title is based of one of my favorite era's in time "The Roaring Twenties". During that period, business, entrepreneurship, entertainment and everything seemed to be at it's highest until the great depression of 1930, (that's another story & too much to go into detail about). The music was really all live bands & singers with more of a jazz-feel. Movies that capture this period included Harlem Nights, Cotton Club, & The Boom Boom Room. My musical objective is to bring this same vibe, feel, and atmosphere to the hip-hop/rap genres with a modern fee for current club situations and settings. In short, "The Roaring 2000's" is a modern day duplicate of the "The Roaring Twenties"

The story line of the CD is a modern day make over of "Beauty & The Beast" & "Mo' Betta Blues", renamed "Beauties & The Beast". As a workaholic, often I find that I simply don't have time for a relationship anymore (If you couldn't tell by my lacking of female friendly songs on previous projects). Not to be too mushy on y'all, but its really as simple as been there done that, and dealt with all that comes with it. Right now I have a lot of goals I'm on my way to accomplishing (speaking it into existence, watch "the secret" on Netflix if you get a chance). The time and effort that I actually put into my craft will be reflected in the artwork & as well as how it effects different types of females, codenamed "Beauties". Also you you get a chance to see my honest perception of different types of beauties that females embody to me. Physical beauties, natural beauties, false beauties, inner beauties, & scars that many women have endure while being hurt in their own past relationships (beauty marks as the homie Terrence T. Carter would say). At the end of the day, the plot of the story is to separate the clutter to find a true beauty of my own. 

This project is the most creatives projects I've ever done & one that it will be hard as ever to top. The music is timeless and will live forever. Not to brag, but this is something that actually set a goal out to do. This was the project I was trying to make but did not have to sound, concept, or resources to create. Thus, Million Dollar Dream$ was birthed. All though that project gave me a solid stake in Alabama's underground music scene, it won't compare to what I have in store for y'all. I'll be giving you all regular insight on singles, videos, and more as we prepare for the 9.4.13 release of #R2K. Stayed tuned.
