November 3rd is a multilayered plan. Yes, most are focused on getting rid of #treasonoustrump (for good reason) but that is far from the only thing we must accomplish. Every state, every city, every town. We must remove the corrupt complicit and murderous #Republicans, like #MoscowMitch, who have for far too long put personal greed above all else. Our country deserves better. #WethePeople must take responsibility and take action! #ditchmitch #votedemocrat (at Kentucky) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_cy_BqgYrr/?igshid=do8sumec0ug0
What really scares me about the upcoming election is that much of our fate is in Kentucky's hands. No matter who wins the presidency, if Mitch McConnell stays in, we're screwed. If Biden wins McConnell vowed to block and sabotage any Democrat-backed bills. If Trump wins, the Turtleman will continue to enable him, cover up for him and support his shit (and he'll still sit on a bunch of bills out of spite)
It's so wrong that this one man has so much power. It's just wrong. It goes agaisnt the whole checks and balances. It renders our voices and the people we voted to represent us as useless! Why does this one guy hold all this control? It's wrong that a whole nation is hanging in the balance based on Kentucky's vote.
"If the governor and I are both suppressors, we're doing a terrible job because we've got the highest turnout we've ever seen," Adams said.
For everyone who expressed concern about voter suppression here in KY, not true. Weâve got great turnout and all the voting that happened in the last 3 weeks has made a big difference!Â
To win in Kentucky, Amy McGrath will need to attract support from Trump voters. How? By arguing that McConnell is blocking big pieces of his agenda.
Kentuckians, Amy McGrath speaks the truth. Ditch Do Nothing Mitch. Vote for her in 2020. âKentucky Blueâ
âMitch McConnell is not well liked. Many Kentuckians feel that he has left them behind, that he is a part of the D.C. sort of swampâ
Amy McGrath knows the image Mitch McConnell has: the steely, cold-but-effective master of the Senate. The tactician who will win at all costs, and who has quietly gone about enacting major pieces of President Donald Trumpâs agenda and filling the federal bench with Trump appointees.
Trump: Promises Made. Promises Broken.
The problem, McGrath says, is that this is exactly backwards: The majority leader is the one preventing many of Trumpâs central 2016 campaign promises from becoming reality.
âFor voters, when they cast a vote for Donald Trump, he said a lot of big things,â McGrath said in an interview for POLITICOâs Women Rule podcast.Â
âHe said, âWeâre going to do big things on infrastructure.âÂ
He said, âIâm going to take it to the pharmaceutical industries and Iâm going to bring down drug prices.âÂ
He said he was going to fix healthcare.Â
He said all of these things, and for a lot of those things, they havenât gotten done actually because of Mitch McConnell.â
âHe has actually said a few fairly bipartisan, measured things â like, hey, letâs reimport drugs across the border from Canada. Hey, letâs have Medicare renegotiate prices,â McGrath said. âWho stops all that? Mitch McConnell does, folks. Why? Because he gets the most money from big pharma than any other member of Congress, at least in the last cycle.â
âA lot of the reasons you voted for Trumpââdrain the swampâ? Folks, you canât drain the swamp until you get rid of Mitch McConnellâ
