So I am rewatching the Colbert report, right? First of all, I had to pirate it because it is not on any streaming services. I usually use illicit third party streaming sites but I couldn't do that since it's not on any streaming sites for the illicit ones to "borrow" from, so I had to do it the old fashioned way. 500 gigabytes worth of content lol, had to clear my hard drive.
Really fascinating how the term truthiness has aged so well, and apparently it was the word of the year back in the early 2000s lol. And Stephen Colbert had completely made it up to capture the political mood of the time, and it has only gotten more relevant
Tagging in case anyone has been looking for this clip like me, you can't find it on YouTube due to copyright stuff. And since it isn't on any streaming services either, I don't know how else you're supposed to find it lol. So hopefully this is helpful to someone

I'd like to think Stephen Colbert is a fake singlet too.
I have no supporting evidence to back this up. It's just fun to imagine that the character from the Colbert Report actually exists in their head, and they occasionally chat internally about show ideas. 🤷♀️

Relevant Today - a 15 year old clip, where S. Colbert & RB Reich discuss class welfare - rather than the usual class warfare.
