Chapter 25: After It All
Summary: Elena is crowned queen. Her friends dance, and reminisce.
Four years and a hundred thousand words later, and I’ve finally finished a longfic. It’s been... rare, in the past, for me to stick out a project like this. I tend to be over-ambitious, thinking I can handle way more in way less time than I actually can, and often by the time I can pull myself together, I’ve lost interest in the project entirely. I really wouldn’t have been surprised if that 2 year hiatus between the first two chapters had been this fic’s death knell, especially with the show being over and the fandom slowly shrinking.
But Elena of Avalor stuck with me in a way nothing really has for years, and I find that I still want to create for it, even now. Working on this has been an experience, hopefully one that I can use to better pace myself going forward. I’m going to keep writing, and if I can’t be faster, I’ll at least try to be more consistent. Thank you to everyone that read through, and I hope you’ll come back for the next one. <3
