I subscribed around August or July of 2015, it was a collab video in Markiplier’s channel, he was funny so I subscribed but didn’t start watching him until September when he dyed his hair green for charity, I thought he seems like a nice dude and friends with Mark so I will give it a shot. I was watching more Markiplier then, so I didn’t watch Jack’s videos daily just the ones I was interested and I knew about the game. Mark stopped uploading for awhile cause an unfortunate thing happened which I understood and respected him for that, but I remember that before that thing happened he was playing Undertale, which it had peaked my interests so when he took the break, I decided to wait to watch his playthrough when he comes back, but he didn’t play it after years. So around that time I was watching some Jack’s videos, I think at first I saw his life is strange series, but it didn’t intrigued me. I kept watch his videos every once and awhile until the start of December when I decided to watch his Undertale series, he had finished his pacifist playthrough and had done some of the genocide videos and thats when my mind was blown, his voice acting was cool, his passion about games was lovely and also for the characters, he made me appreciate the soundtrack, “the pee break” and the ending was more emotional watching it along with him (I didn’t cry but it was beautiful). So from that moment I decided to keep watching his videos everyday and even some of his older series that were known and I don’t regret it cause every gameplay was just a new beautiful and hilarious journey. Undertale is my favorite game since then, Jack was probably one of the reasons why I like it so much, but it is probably more cause the game is very well written, the characters unique and enjoyable, I always likes rpg pixel video games and the music is awesome. Still this is how I stick around the channel for 3 years and 4 months and I still enjoy being here cause of the community and Jack himself. Jack has changed since then surely but he became more confident, his sense of humour changed a bit but I find it more funny to be honest and he is still cares about the community, he seems more driven to do cooler stuff these days and that makes me happy, it makes me believe that if you really want to achieve something you love to do, you have to be brave, get out of your comfort zone and try your best. It doesn’t mean that you will have an audience or you will achieve what Jack did and with the period of time he did, it all depends in what your goals are, try doing baby steps at first and then when you feel like you want to spicy things out, get out of your comfort zone, you might fail, but there always other chances, you may succeed, if you do appreciate it, feel proud about it and live it. We live in this world for ourselves first, so why not try our best then?
P.S. His loudness never disturbed or annoyed me, in fact his accent and the way he talked I always liked it and I could understand what he said much more clearly than some other youtubers I watched, back then I didn’t know English as fluent as I do now. But I can’t deny that sometimes when I wouldn’t check the volume before hand, I would have almost a heart attack at the start of the video.
