I have a story. I work in a retirement community in the restaurant. We also have a cafe and sometimes the chef in there, Corey, has to come talk to my managers. Well, he needed to give her a paper but couldn't find her so have it to... 1/?

(2/?)so he gave me the paper to give my manager but i was working a party of 22 people and had to get back, and i couldnt find her either, so i just put the paper out for everyone to see(which they were supposed tp see it, just a little later)

(3/?)and i found my manager later to tell her that Corey had given me the paper and i couldnt find her so i gave it to everyone else. And she gpt really mad at corey for bringing it too early. So i tried to tell her it was my bad but she wouldn’t

(4/?) She wouldn’t let me take the blame! !! So later wjen she and i were in the office aline talking bout something, corey walkes by, and she fucking called him in!! With me right there!! ! And she syarts griping at poor Corey and i was behind her

(5/?) I was behind her holding a sign saying “so sorry”. But i feel so bad bc i got this guy in trouble and it wasnt his fault and just oh my gosh he probably hates me now, which really sucks bc i really like him (platonically).

(6/6)i also learned Corey's real name is Ronald and i dont know why but thats really funny. (Sorry for so much typing, but you did ask for stories. I hope it doesnt bother you or anything. I hope you find it kinda funny or something)

Okay, so im writing my prpared speech for region competition and i kinda wondered if i could have you opinion on my topic. Its how YA books affect depression, self harm, or suicide. As someone who has done this, i thought you could be good to ask.

To me, that sounds like a really interesting speech. Honestly my only advice would be to be sensitive about it because you really have no idea what experiences the judges might have had with those topics. I spoke on a pretty feminist topic last year, and expanded it to include how the objectification of women and gender roles in pop culture negatively affects boys as well (and also to meet time because I talk really fast) and it was pretty well received. I would just say to be mindful of your audience while remaining true to the subject you're really passionate about, because it's obvious when you're just saying something to cover all your bases and keep from offending people. Best of luck with your speech, it sounds like a really thought-provoking subject!!!
