Book of the Week No. 14 Divergent by Veronica Roth Rate: 9.5/10 Favorite Line: "Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it." Review: As one of the most hyped and first of Dystopian books of 2010's, Divergent is a novel written by Veronica Roth. Situated in a futuristic society which is divided into 5 factions, Beatrice Prior chose to be on Dauntless (Brave faction), only realizing that she is a Divergent. A special case where a person will never be suited into just one faction. As one of the first books who taught me to love reading, this type of novels does hype me up. I remember it was years 2010-2013 and most of the books in bookstore's main stand are about Dystopian novels. So, I just wanted to say is that I concur that some resemblance of Divergent is based for (HG) Hunger Games. HG is really missable and if you read it first before this, I think that's when the excitement diminishes. But somehow, that is not my case. Divergent is a league of its own, I love how adrenaline-pumping the execution of actions are put into words. Plus the characters, ugh they are really memorable and have in-depth showcasing of their traits. I also love the concept of the novel, the application of dystopian society and the idea of the factions in regards to their part on the society. Overall, I really loved reading and re-reading this book. It somehow made me feel nostalgic when I first hold this book on a bookstore. Veronica Roth is an exemplary author for escapade of thrilling actions. #fiction #books #novel #veronicaroth #divergentseries #divergent #dystopian #scifi #bookstagram #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booklover #booknerd #bookaddict #bookphotography #goodreads https://www.instagram.com/p/CfllZTapFLy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
