The Forsaken God

Part 5-End

WE ARE BACK ON THE TITAN EVERYONE, THIS IS NOT A DRILL

And yes, the is the conclusion to Act One. If you’re confused as to what’s going on here, I’ll tell you what you need to know, the rest is intentionally obscure:

Yes, Papa Titan is narrating

MK, Macaque, Jack, and Hunter are right back to where this story started, location wise, where Eclipse Lake ended and this AU began.

The key Hunter dropped at the start has been repurposed and given to Macaque, as part of the terms of his deal. It cannot open the Portal Door at all, as it is no longer a key to the (non mystic) Human Realm, but a lock on something else

Macaque is the only being aware of what exactly happened after Hunter killed Nüwa (on the Titan at least) and the rest of that story will be revealed later, as even HUNTER doesn’t remember the battle, nor does he remember using the Golden Tiger Claws to break in to the Pillar Of Heaven. His memory draws a blank after he got home that night.

Mystic China is FINE, just as stable as it was before Nüwa died thanks to Papa Titans intervention (though a certain someone will be causing celestial level chaos when he wakes tomorrow and realizes his SON is gone while the rest of Team MK has their own collective meltdown)

The next part will take place almost exclusively in the Boiling Isles, with vengeance, treachery, high school, and war crimes abound!

Until I’m ready to start the next arc, expect funny intermission pieces, hints and art about Hunter and this new character (the Titan dubbed “Replacement) and a few one off comics about our main four “setting up shop” in Hunters home world

DT’s Shapeshifting Drawback

Whenever DT has a bad, truama-based nightmare, he loses the ability to shape shift and reverts into a six-year-old version of himself

This only happens when he’s in a safe environment, and it embarrasses the shit out of him, because he won’t get control back until he is either comforted appropriately about said trauma nightmare or calms down on his own, which is much harder.

His pride usually means he chooses the latter, so he’s stuck like that for days at a time

Jack carries him around because he finds the situation hilarious, loves watching DT swear at people with his little kid voice, and is actually a good friend despite his bluster

What is thisss?? A cosplay from an au? Dang, interesting. Anyways, I have no idea why, but I was inspired today and so the first down a rabbit hole of au cosplays arrives the day the reference for this was released. Of course, this cosplay is of Hunter from @diverging-tides lovely au, you should go check it out if you like toh or lmk, I mean even better both, it’s fun times.

Anyways I’ve blabbed on enough! This is a costest sorta so it’s not completely accurate, but everything was practical (cept the eyes) so yea! There are so many bloopers from this one, I couldn’t get the face the way I wanted it or the pose, so maybe another time I’ll make a post of the sillies. Had fun doing this and have a nice day!

Part 4

Titans are well versed in the arts of sealing away the divine-even as weakened as he is, Papa Titan still has plenty of magic left to seal away an unstable new divinity/concept of reality. It’s certainly made much easier when the entity in question originated from his own decomposed flesh.

Also the Titan has been trying to reach Hunter (about your cars extended warranty lol) basically this entire time so Nüwa getting iced opened up an opportunity for him to break in and finally ask for help.

Yet, Hunter isn’t the person he ends up asking directly.

The “Titan” seen here is a bit of an illusion thing-a byproduct of the sealing magic before he dragged the forming Concept into the In-Between

This will make more sense later, I PROMISE

As a final note, only Macaque saw that huge projection. MK and Jack did not.

Champion of the Damned

Happy Halloween everybody! Enjoy this riveting fragmented depiction of DT’s psychosis-he is not well :)

Anyway, every Golden Guard here is unique and cannon to Diverging Tides (alongside about thirty more without distinct faces)-feel free to ask about any of them on this spooky day through the box, and I’ll give you my notes on who they are (Names included)

Every single one of them has lived off the same galdorstone, and aside from Hunter (debatably-no I’m not elaborating) all of them are dead

Heylin’s Fall

Part 6

Hunters been repressing a lot of rage lately

This isn’t even a mere fraction of what boils beneath the surface

Anyway, a play by play of what just happened if the comic didn’t make it clear-Wuya threw a fireball before Wukong finished saying “Go”, Hunter dodged it by teleporting, rematerialized behind Hannibal, and struck him with such force that it killed him instantly

That’s right, Hannibal got one-shot killed on “GO”

Hunter is actually powerful enough to kill a legitimate Heylin threat in one hit now-that’s how far he’s progressed with his powers. Though he has to be pretty angry in order to deal such a mortal amount of damage all at once

Oh and yes, this is the first time Jack has seen Wukong in person before

Wukong has authority in reffing Xiaolin Showdowns, the spirit of Master Dashi bestowed said authority after a grave mistake was made by a past group of Xiaolin Dragons that Wukong never forgave or forgot. You can’t get more impartial when you hate both participating parties equally

That mistake is also why Wukongs territory is called “Dead Man’s Land” because he WILL kill anyone from Xiaolin or Heylin he catches on his turf no matter who they are

Jack is the only exception to this vitriol-Wukong finds him amusing
