When you consider how well-known Jason Statham is now, it's a bit shocking to realize that he didn't make his first movie until he was already in his 30s. Prior to that, he had a pretty interesting and eclectic life, one that included modelling, athletics, and even dancing in some music videos. David Ayer, who directed Statham in his latest movie, The Beekeeper, believes that Statham's background makes him a more compelling figure on the screen.
