CLOSED, 01/06/2016. I realize that this comes just days after our hope of restarting, but a conversation today has left us with no doubt that Dividunt has, for the time being, run it’s course once more. 

This is the fourth reincarnation of a very loved roleplay -- if we didn’t love it, then we would ever have continued coming back. However, time restraints had us spending no time at all on the main, and though we have taken on new help, we’re all of the general consensus that the rp has no plan for going forwards. This is our fault, yes -- we can’t defend how we allowed it to fall into such inactivity, though what we can say is that never before were we as busy as we were this year. The past few times we have run Dividunt, or as it was known in the past, Morbus, we weren’t seniors finishing school and doing exams, and perhaps, we made a foolish call in opening up the rp at the time we did. Had we not attracted so many wonderful members, then we wouldn’t have stayed open for the time we did. Roleplaying with you all has been such a genuine pleasure, and we wish you all the luck in the future.

I don’t imagine that Dividunt will stay gone forever. This rp is truly one of my favorites to have first joined, and then reopened. In the future, I can certainly see us considering bringing it back, and maybe doing so -- for now, however, this is the best decision for us to make. If ever we decided to reopen, then we can only hope to attract such lovely and genuine people once more. Again, it’s been a pleasure.

The time's come! We've made our admin decision, and one of our choices has already been added to our sidebar- welcome Admin M, who you'll be able to spot by use of the Claire Holt mascot! She'll be helping us out, hopefully along with our second choice, and I'm sure she'll do a great job!

Now, comes the big thing. Since the main’s been inactive the past fortnight, and we’ve all been too busy to really be doing much around the place, the pages are in need of a massive update. What we’re asking you to do is to please send us an ask with your characters name, country (and or title) and face claim, within the next 72 hours! If you don’t do this, then we’ll assume you no longer wish to keep your role here.

At 4:00 pm, the masquerade ball had officially started. Noblewomen in large ornamental dresses and dawning their finest makeup were scattered around the court and first level of the castle talking excitedly between one another, giggling, and enjoying their vividly imagined masques. Noblemen spoke loudly, wined and dined, recruited women for a dance or two, and had a jovial laugh with one another. The court was decorated with multicolored candles each on a candlestand with three prongs, casting bright light around each and every corner of the room, not leaving a single space untouched. Decorations hung from the ceiling and wrapped around the walls, almost like yuletide ribbons. If one observed carefully, they could see that there were different themes about the halls of the first floor. The court, by far the most joyous, was mostly bathed in gold. Gold candle wax, gold ornaments, gold ribbon, gold thrones. The surrounding halls and rooms each had their own themes, one as white as the purest cloud of heaven, another orange as the desert sand at sunset. An array of food such as turkey, pork, greens, olives, and other foods was lined up on the far side of the court’s wall, begging the party to visit them. A group of musicians were huddled in a corner at the head of the room and played their merry songs as dresses turned and tossed this way and that to their tunes, men meeting their women’s hands as they danced the day away.

Hopefully, by now, you get the feel of what the party is like. It is over-the-top, sparing no expense, and everything has been done to make sure each person has a delightful time. So, hang loose, dance, drink a little (or a lot) and most-importantly engage in conversations with people you might not usually befriend. After all, it is a masquerade ball. You can be someone completely different!

Please make sure to put all previous threads on hold so that the most can be made out of the limited amount of time you have for the event. Tag all starters using the regular starter tag (#dividuntstart) but also be sure to use the tag (#dividuntevent) and (#dividuntmasquerade). Also, it is encouraged for members to post pictures of their attire, masques, and anything else related to the party using the same tags, minus the starter tag of course. Enjoy!
