18 please!! And your choice of ship 😊
Divienne
18. As encouragement.
Another one broke. Divina groaned in frustration. This was the fourth time she had tried, and failed, to make the glass detail for the headpiece she was working on. All the small shards were finicky to work with, doubly so for the small detailing that the client had wanted. Divina threw the offending tool across the table in frustration.
"That's expensive, you know." Divina looked up to a smug Vivienne. It appeared that Viv had already finished her project, well ahead of schedule.
"Not in the mood, Viv." If there was anyone in the world that could piss Divina off, it was Vivienne whenever she could boast about something.
"Here I am, offering you great advice, and this is what I get back? Preposterous."
"If you really wanted to give me advice, it would be how to make this glass not break."
"Show me?" Divina motioned for Vivienne to get closer. Vivienne joined her by the work table, now sitting right next to her.
"It's this." Divina showed her the design. It was a rather intricate headpiece with small details in wisps of glass in a rainbow of colours. "I've finished a couple of them, but it's frustrating whenever one of them breaks."
Vivienne nodded. "And why are you frustrated then? You've managed to make almost all of them." Viv could see the table had been filled with most of the little glass figures. Typical Divina for being frustrated at anything that wasn't perfection.
"But they keep breaking!" Divina wasn't listening to anything Viv had to say. Drastic measures had to be taken.
"I see. Divina, could you look at me for a second?"
"What is it?" Divina snapped her head to face Viv. If she wasn't already perplexed by the request, she sure was when Viv gave her a kiss.
"You'll do great."
"Oh uh yeah. Thanks." Divina grabbed the tool that she had discarded. Her mojo had been reset and she could finally finish her work.
