yo! how did you strengthen your intuition? i’ve been wanting to work on mine!!! have a great day, dear. 🌱🌻💖
Hi there friend! It's quite the process of strengthening intuition, but i will do my best to give you tips and let you know how i did it!
Firstly, i never rule things out. Unless it is 100% certain that it can't happen, i always believe it's possible. This helps me keep an open mind about everything, so that i am open to receiving intuitive messages and i am more likely to trust them when they come. This is also beneficial for manifesting in my experience haha!.
The way i began to strengthen my intuition was actually by it kinda forcing me to! I would get little thoughts like "you should carry this item in your arms instead of using the strap, it's probably gonna break" and then, i didn't listen and-- it broke. The most realistic, intense thing i've ever experienced was one night i was showering and i had a very clear mental picture of a scenario where the power went out whilst i was in the shower and i couldn't see and began to panic. After this, i made a mental plan as to how i would handle it if the power did happen to go out--just in case-- and, sure enough, it did! I was more prepared than i would have been, but the vision was so real and i was so astounded that i predicted the situation that i panicked a little anyways 😂. So it's these little voices and inner knowings that need to be listened to! Differentiating the difference between what is a thought and what is an intuitive message is difficult and gets easier with time, so trust your gut, and pay attention. The more you listen to them, the nore frequent they are
To get to the point of receiving the messages, like i said, keeping an open mind is important. Meditation really helps as well, which is something i know most people don't like to hear. BUT i'll tell you why! Meditation brings us to the present moment. When we are dwelling on the future or the past, we can't receive insights about the now. Being present in the moment makes us far more aware of our inner knowing. If you struggle with meditation, try sitting still and feeling the energy of the room you're in. What does it feel like? Do you feel it surrounding you or do you feel disconnected? How does the sun look coming in the window? How do your feet feel on the floor? Noticing things like this can also help to bring us into the moment.
A fun way to practice intuition that anyone can do is use a deck of cards! Shuffle them up, and guess what color the top card is. Go through the rest of the deck like th is, and separate them into 2 piles of the ones you got correct and the ones you did not. The more you practice the better it will get, but i don't think i've ever gotten close to all correct. I usually get just over 50% of them right. For more practice, you can try this with the numbers and suits of the deck as well.
Something my mother and i like to do is practice with crystals. We pick a crystal out of a bowl or box, and try to "feel what it's saying" or feel what the crystal does, the message it has, etc. There's no harm in it if you don't get it right, but if you do, it's pretty cool! Worth a shot! Also, carrying amethyst and quartz crystals generally strengthen intuition, and for me personally i like moonstone and labradorite for this purpose as well.
If you're into divination, try letting your card/rune/whatever else interpretations loosen up a little bit! Don't stick strictly to the book or definition, and allow your own mind (intuition) to tell you meanings to the cards. Practice this with other people, and let them tell you how you did! The feedback will help you differentiate which thoughts were your own thoughts and which ones were intuitive messages. You can also try picking up or looking at objects and seeing what you can guess about them. Ask the owner if you were right or wrong! For example: if a friend of yours is wearing a ring, see if you can tell where it came from. Was it an ancestors? Was it a gift? Does it contain their birthstone? The only way to get better at this is with practice. Step out of your comfort zone and give it a try, do intuition only readings, guess things, because it's okay to be wrong! You will get it right eventually!
Another thing that i personally think strengthened my intuition was associating colors or songs with people and situations. Even if you don't consciously know what this correspondence means yet, subconsciously i find it really helpful! For example, if someone you know reminds you of the color red, this could mean they are fiery, passionate, or even aggressive, and you may be a little intimidated by them. If they remind you of the song "Here Comes the Sun", they probably have a positive impact and feel like an optimistic person, someone who is smiley and nice and pleasant to be around.
I hope this helps! If you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask! Maybe i'll make an organized post on this subject at some point?
