How do the gods change between their godly forms and their mortal forms? Does it require magic? What's the difference between their forms? Can they still use their powers in their non-godly form?

Heey!!

It doesn't require magic or anything like that. I think it takes more work for them to maintain a more "human" form all the time, and that their true form is when they can truly let go, you know.

A deity doesn't have access to all of their powers while in mortal form. A great part of their essence is actively suppressed during the process.

Although the reason why Death cannot access their true form right now is due to the damage caused to their essence, which they will be able to heal later in the book.
