     —  DAWN  HAD  JUST  MADE  ITSELF  KNOWN  as agnes stepped outside the door of her home, content smile on her face as the silence the was spread across town welcomed her. this was her favourite time, the moments before the whole town woke up. then it felt as if she had it all to herself, that it was made just for her.

the streets were familiar, the worn down paths leading into the forest even more so. that’s where she was headed, but a figure in front of her made her pause. she startled, bemused that someone other than herself had chosen to take a walk in the early morning light. “oh, you surprised me,” she said, small and tentative smile cautiously placed on her face. “i didn’t know that anyone else would be up this early.”

 AT  THIS  POINT  ,  he’s  not  sure  how  long  he’s  been  at  the  bar  ,  but  he’s  surprised  he  hasn’t  been  cut  off  yet.  he’s  pretty  positive  that  he’s  been  drinking  since  roughly  ten  in  the  morning  ,  which  was  common  ESPECIALLY  if  there  were  things  going  on  that  reminded  him  of  his  family.  so  here  he  was  ,  mostly  wasted  and  thankful  he  was  still  allowed  at  the  bar.  then  again  ,  he  isn’t  really  BOTHERING  anyone  ,  but  he  DOES  decide  to  finally  get  up  and  leave  ,  not  that  walking  around  town  was  a  great  idea.  his  body  ,  however  ,  was  incredibly  used  to  this  state  he  liked  to  put  himself  in  ,  and  he  only  stops  along  the  street  of  the  small  town  when  someone  catches  his  EYE.    someone  he  knows  ,  he  thinks  ,  but  he  can’t  really  be  sure  right  now.  ❝  i  like  your  shirt.  that’s  a  good  color  on  you.  ❞  the  tattoo  artist  speaks  ,  and  he’s  NOT  flirting  ;  there’s  no  interest  in  his  tone  ,  but  somehow  there  isn’t  a  question  that  he’s  genuine  ;  DESPITE  his  clearly  ALTERED  state.
