Lexx: I Worship His Shadow. - Reference/inspiration caps.

Finally getting into this series, and it’s kind of perfect timing since I’m also getting into Dune.  They’re almost like siblings, Dune is the stoner philosopher while Lexx is the tattooed metalhead goth who’s into bondage and MIGHT have his ghoulie pierced.

The show is at that perfect convergence point for puppets, models, CGI, stop motion... any special effect that could work is thrown in.  I love that.  It’s peak “syndicationsploitation,” to steal a term from Javi.

He blinks, staring dead at Fushiguro as though he’s just asked him to slice off his leg at the knee. His body produces a profound sound, something resembling a snort if it had to choose a relative, as Yuji shakes his head. He still wasn’t used to this whole camaraderie thing. Having to hold up his own weight and issues for as long as he could really recall, Yuji had never really needed the offer of someone to lean on. Both literally and as the figure of speech. Besides, Megumi would have needed all of his own strength, right? Yuji appreciated it but… he didn’t need the help. He did wonder however, how offended he’d get if Yuji offered himself for Megumi to lean on, instead. 

“It’s… No, it's okay.” A smile, stupidly aloof and clueless as ever, was plastered on his face. It was beaming against the mess of pink hair, bruised cheek and busted lip. Hoping to deter the idea in Megumi’s head that he needed help, that was until Yuji finally went to move, anyways. So perhaps he wasn’t as intact as he thought. His own body betraying him, he winces as an attempt to walk was made. His own arm wrapped around his ribcage to ease the ache as a grunt escaped him, a brief profanity falling from his mouth, too. Dammit. 

“Mmmmm, ‘kay. M-Maybe just for a little bit.” Giving up on whatever self-righteous behavior he was trying to pull off, Yuji looks at Megumi with a semi-pained smile and a very strained laugh, if it could even be called that. “Just a warning, I'm heavier than I look.” Keeping his arm wrapped about his ribs, Yuji does manage to straighten with another few aches spread throughout his body, that curse must have hit him harder than he realised. “Wait. Shit, you didn’t get hit did ya? Should we call Gojo? I don’t wanna hurt you more by carrying me. I’ll be fine.”

LEXX: Biography: Yottskry Yottskry was played by a heavy actor (you know, one that has done Shakespeare and stuff) Malcolm McDowell. Yottskry is a great character but if you were to meet him in a pub you might notice a sticky milky white substance dribbling down his chin and you would say, "EEEEWW!". I agree! I own all 9 seasons and it never gets old. Most Winter days you can find me curled up with blankets on the couch watching Rosie. :p
