The Last Torn-Oh-Y'
Oracle settles down on the edge of the hanger. Dangling their legs into open-space and staring out towards the galaxy that they had called home. Regret settles deep in their core. Perhaps this was a mercy in disguise, but Oracle does not view it as such.
The Destruction of the lesser saurian species still weighs heavy on its shoulders. Sure, Oracle was never a strategist, but a soldier they were. When it heard news of their caste's sins, Oracle couldn't help but sob.
Now, as the final preparations for the Exodus of The Y'bea, all it can do is sit and reminisce. The still forming galaxy, that would eventually be known as the Milky Way, their only friend. Would it always be like this? The Y'bea striving for greater and greater heights until they have to abandon world after world?
Would they ever hold the peace and community that Oracle desperately seeks?
Oracle sips its drink, studying the pale blues and dazzling, faded purples of the still-forming galaxy that had kept them company for so long.
It begins to speak, to no singular person, yet everyone all at once.
"To those who leave our lives, and who's lives we are leaving, I decree." It starts, raising their cup.
"I hope, that you find grace in what remains. That while this goodbye is necessary, it may not be so sorrowful. I hope we all find growth in the events that transpired, and that we all come out as better for it.
My love for you all has not dwindled, this love is why I depart. Why we depart. We mustn't meddle in your growth, for it is your lives to live, not ours. I know you will all do wonderful things, and we will be watching from so very far away. The distance need not matter, for know we are watching, and we are loving, and we are laughing with you. The joys of your accomplishments and the sorrows of your failures will echo through The Emne for all to see, to hear, to feel, to taste, to know.
The anger that you must feel is justified, for we have done many wrongs, but do not live your life in anger, but instead hope. Hope for better, hope for greatness yet unseen. Hope for all. That is what will lead us into this new home."
Oracle's voice falls silent, toasting into open air, and downing the rest of their drink in hopeful sorrow.
It has nothing left to say, only actions to perform.
They give the signal for the ships to depart, the last thing in their vision as they slip into The Emne is of the galaxy they so dearly adored.

When One is lost in an Ocean of Data
How do they know they are drowning?
Can Information itself
Be so overwhelming
That it's suffocating?
When One is lost in an Ocean of Data
How do others know to help?
Information is wealth
and the Wealthy never suffer from their wealth
When One is lost in an Ocean of Data
How does one know they are lonely?
A Shifting Of Strategy.
Hey, Inkwell here. So, recently I've been thinking about how I write, and how I post, and the tools I use to do so. I've noticed that posting on AO3 hasn't gotten me much of anywhere, which makes sense, I don't write fanfiction, I write Original works. But that does mean that something has to change. So with this newest story that I'm posting in 30 minutes, I am making a shift to posting on Patreon. This does mean that a lot more of my stories are going to be paid access. What does this mean for people who can't/won't spend money? Nothing really. I'll still post some stories for free, both on Patreon and through Ellipsus links. Just, not as much. I'll probably get into more of the why on the personal blog, but I hope you'll accompany me to the new format. I'm sorry if you feel betrayed or anything by this change.
