'the mixology of astrology' is slapped down in front of his friend with a bright pink bow stuck onto the front cover. bel grins at him broadly, rolling back on the balls of his feet and clasping his hands together. booze it up with him sometime, maybe?

Oh, Virote could cry. HE COULD CRY. And, well, he did. Just a little tear or two. Two tears, three tears. Maybe a few dozen tears. A face covered in tears. You get the point. He broke down ( but, like, it wasn’t a level where he was close to falling out in the floor, fortunately. ) It was like Bel had his finger on the pulse of Virote’s life. Booze and stars. his two favorite things in the world. God, what a beautiful book. It’d look killer sitting on his coffee table. His vanity, too. ❝Oh my goodness, like, I’m amazed?❞ He sure did flip through that book while letting out more dramatic sniffles.         “Maybe the opposite of luck is deciding for yourself,” she says. When it’s done she knots off the thread on the jacket’s inside, and turns it so he can see, if it meets with his approval. It made her think of him when she saw it--a black and white patch with red accents, a double-headed snake with tongues flickering, curled around a central flame.

        “Does it look alright?” Maybe, if he finds another one he likes, she’ll teach him next time. Does he know how to sew?

i don’t know why i have to feel this way.

i… wish i could decipher the rest but i am deaf in one ear and the lo-fi, shoegaze-like vocals don’t really help, but this song is very much about anxiety.  belial’s backstory is intense! i suppose if i were reading it over again, i’d probably listen to this to get myself in the ~mood. also here’s the robag wruhme remix, it’s pretty good. more dance-y. pretty sure i obtained this version first before coma’s original.

Here.” She puts the kettle down, half of it hanging over the edge of the sink, and goes to the cabinet, taking down the sectioned container, full of different colored tea bags. She brushes her fingertips over the tops, just to make contact with their bright hues, then puts the container down in front of Belial on the kitchen table. “I like Earl Grey. You choose the one you like.”

FOR THE PORTRAYAL MEME... this is just like gren in the sense that i've always LIKED dulu but you made me fucking ADORE him. you have such a way of analyzing your muses' source material and going above and beyond with it - figuring out information that most people wouldn't even consider. you have such a knack with character depth too; keeping your muses true to their core selves, but expanding on them in a way that's very believable. congrats, i'm deeply invested in this big asshole.

the facts are  …  i always liked him too !!   i know i’ve told  YOU  this, but little baby ruben always had a boycrush on the big scary monster from jeepers creepers and, now that i’m thinking back on it, i think he might’ve been the first fictional wooby i ever had.  and i was like.  four years old.  so this was a long time coming.

i don’t regret, for a single second, putting my effort and dedication into analyzing / developing him further as a character.  he’s full of mystery, he’s exciting, he’s beautiful, he’s got a great personality to him, he’s the perfect blend of terror and comedy, and he’s a fascinating example of a psyche reflective of  –  but separate from  –  that of a human’s, as well as a significant cultural staple:  both in the fictional universe that represents him, and in the horror community IRL !!

the only good thing salva ever did was give us dulu.  so.  my OC now.  for all i care, victor can bite down on a metal pole while a heavyweight champion stomps on the back of his fucking head.  this was the peak of his existence on this earth and now that we have it it’s time for the man to die
