The one thing that I do enjoy doing is making costumes instead of buying. This would be my 3rd costume making for my Bizzy 🐝 When I see the finishing touches I get that sense of achoevement

Although this was a rather last minute custom made as we were only given 7 days notice to get this ready but I'm pretty much proud that I could make this look as authentic as possible

And all it needed were items that I had and a Uniqlo dress.

Making weird sh*t. 🧹🦇🌙 We dance with our witchy group tonight at @maddhattershaunt. I tossed out the other costume I was making and decided last minute I wanted something different. I'm in a mood and been listening to too many sea shanties on my "Drowning All the Sailors" station on Pandora and I love the whole vibe of the costume on slide 4 here, lol. Like a pissed off siren who just crawled out of the bottom of the sea and gives no fcks and has no time for your bullsh*t. Nice. 🖤 . But, I needed to translate that feeling into a quick DIY witch costume using a pile of random junk and literal trash and pieces of last year's costume that I had at home already, in 2 days. So. Lol. I spent the last couple of days doing weird stuff like - taking #dollartree flower bushes apart + gluing on moss that looks kinda like seaweed. I took apart an old baby tutu and painted the fabric a bit. I even added some grungy paint onto pieces from a bag of Dollar Tree poppurri, lol, to use as weird bits. Decorated a witch hat, broom, and skirt. . I'm hoping by next week to find some yarn like in the other slide... how rad is that? The yarn that looks like seaweed strands in the skirt? Clever. And order a bit of cheap netting off of Amazon. We dance the next two weekends at assorted places, so I have time to jazz up my last minute costume, I guess. . Who else has a big assortment of weird crafty supplies like this? And pulls them out for last minute project ideas? Also, what are you gonna be for Halloween??
