Have you seen the Found footage movie/mockumentary zombiemovie Savageland? Imo it's a good watch, not very high budget, but they made the most of it
yes! I think Savageland is very good. The photos taken by the main character are absolutely haunting and very effective with very few special effects, and the themes of xenophobia and anti-Mexican bigotry have only gotten more topical and painful as time’s gone on. I’ve been putting off rewatching it because of that timeliness, actually, from feeling so bitter and upset over the current climate in the US, but maybe that’s a sign that I ought to rewatch it and confront those feelings.

Y'know, I try not to judge people TOO harshly for, like, voting for Trump or whatever, since in the propagandized-to-hell authoritarian shithole country I come from you're born into one of two camps and marinate in its mainstream-media-conglomerate-of-choice's narrative your entire life, and it's hardly their fault they were born into the one I wasn't…but god DAMN; some of the dipshits out there could watch Savageland and come away thinking Salazar did it.
