The homemade lemonade concentrate in this DIY Lemonade Cocktail is made with fresh lemon juice and natural sweeteners. It tastes better and is better for you than store-bought lemonade concentrate. When mixed with vodka or gin, it makes a nice, cool drink that's great for any event.
Ingredients: 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice. 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup. 1/2 cup water. Ice cubes. 2 oz vodka or gin. Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish.
Instructions: In a small saucepan, combine honey or maple syrup with water over low heat. Stir until dissolved to create a simple syrup. Allow the syrup to cool completely. In a pitcher, mix together the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the prepared simple syrup. To make the cocktail, fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour 2 oz of vodka or gin over the ice. Top with the DIY lemonade concentrate. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. Stir gently and enjoy!
