Pan oh gosh, any time with any of the characters is best time, but Pan my love... Gsjsgshtkg, so the rollercoaster of my feelings at this point... I swear, Diaspora owns my heart. It's so good it borders on the ridiculous.

Can I be super excited by this update and yet gutted all at the same time? We'll get to see how everything works out for our little band of family in the next chapter, but this update also cements that the end is on the horizon for this masterpiece. I'm so excited to see what happens next and so very heartbroken that, like all journeys, this one too must finally end. So Pan, just go on and take my heart and all its feels with you when you go. It's been yours from the start.

It's really been a rollercoaster, hasn't it? Definitely for us, too. I shouldn't talk like it's over yet because, well, there's still a huge chapter and an epilogue to go, but we're at a point where it feels a little more okay to look back at what's there and be like "dang, it took a long time, but also that's a lot of story."

Also as we've discovered, sincerity makes Pan feel awkward, though not necessarily in a bad way! :)

Poppy: What comforts Hermes?

Honestly, Hermes is comforted by being in the Underworld. He gets to take off his disguises, stop overanalyzing every interaction he has, and really ease up on the acting. Plus the people there are nice to be around, for him. He also takes a lot of comfort from music, and physical expressions of affection, whether is be platonic or romantic. 

Sunflower: What brings him the most joy in life?

This is a little bit the same as the last one. I think the answer is basically being around people who see the real him and like him anyway, music, and then of course a big one—flying.

Willow: How does he handle sadness and depression?

By trying very hard not to feel them, in the first. But of course emotions can’t actually be brute-forced that way, at least not for very long. Otherwise his response is diametrically different, usually, depending on location. On Olympus he doesn’t want to be seen in such a state so he tends to isolate or get away to be alone. In the Underworld he tends to seek out company; whose depends on whether he’s looking for distraction or to work through it or just to let it sit until it passes.

So with the personality tests I saw where Horizon is a fellow Advocate (🎉). That's actually a really cool thing to do to help the reader understand the characters better. I'm new to the demo as of today (I devoured it in a little over an hour, fantastic WIP and Roach is... 😍), and I hope this hasn't been asked yet. Do you find yourself getting invested in your characters? Is it difficult to write angsty bits for them or do you pretty much know the outcome for them already? 😭

INFJs are one of my favorite people out there; their core traits are being intelligent and being sympathetic and i 😍

I get super invested in my characters, that's why hurting them it's rather hard for me. Writing this story as an IF instead of a book makes it easier for me to kill them off since I can tell myself that their deaths aren't final, just a possibility. About hurting them on an emotional level, I really like hurt/comfort so angsty scenes are one of my favorites to write.

I can't seem to find the post of how tall the ROs are and the search function is not working, can you tell me? 3. I love you and these characters, so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Billy's tail sways passively from side to side. Righ to left. Left to right. His lame eye stares passively to a faraway place over your shoulder. His good eye very pointedly looks away from you.

"Did you hear me, Billy?" you ask him earnestly, taking one step closer. "I won't let anything bad happen to you. Ever."

He snorts and lowers his big, angular head to slightly sniff at a rock overturned on the pavement. You stand there looking at the old horse with a slight smile on your lips.

The stubborn bastard. You'll get to him, though. You know that one day, you'll get to his oversized, badly functional heart.
