Talked about it in the Pisscord but we have a new Ruzaynism that Sibir sometimes throws around: dorjagayn, "they eat from the communal pot."
From (mazh) "dorag", to eat/they eat [from] and "jaga", pot or cauldron, usually for soups or stews, and implying communal stewardship. The ayn [land] affix both informs the gender of the word and is derisive, since Ruzayn as a primarily sea-faring culture treat landbound communities with some suspicion and contempt
10k+ words in Court of Wolves 👍here's another (deeply, deeply unedited) snippet for your enjoyment
If we have a baby with Trace, that child would also be born an anomaly or a hybrid
Trace is shooting blanks.
The answers for the GW characters are so funny like, everybody else: deep and introspective thoughts and feelings, their present selves shaped by complicated past.
Trace: is Trace :)
Love these lil guys (gn)
Trace is uncomplicated and delightfully simple and anybody that says otherwise is an agent for Big PIRA.
29, 32, and 34 for all the GW guys ❤️
29 and 32 were answered here and here, respectively!
34 -- Feelings about themselves
Bautista: Have you ever played RDR2 and stood in front of a mirror as Arthur Morgan and interacted with the mirror and heard his opinions about himself? Yeah.
Nazeri: They're completely unaware of their massively overinflated ego and see themself as a well-meaning, lovable person. That's not to say they're not aware of some of their faults -- they just see them more as fun little quirks.
Devin: Oh, we don't want to go there.
Trace: They're Trace. :)
29- quirks and habits for all my greenwarden beloveds please and thank u 👉👈
Bautista: Creature of habit, to the point there might seriously be a consideration for Bautista Autism. They get up at exactly 5 AM every day no matter how much sleep they'd gotten the night before, and try to go to bed at around 10 PM every night. Morning work out, coffee, breakfast, work. Light lunch, more coffee. Dinner at 17:00. Quirks wise, Bautista is surprisingly quirky and has a lot of physical tics. Rubbing their neck when they're nervous or in thought, crossing their arms constantly, sitting with their legs open, etc.
Nazeri: Crosses their legs when they sit, and washes/sanitizes their hands constantly. They have a habit of checking themself out in reflective surfaces and quietly smoothing out any wrinkle or stray hair they see. They're a habitual tea-drinker that can't go more than a few hours without some kind of sit-down tea time, be that finding a bench or brick wall to sit and enjoy some boba on or elaborate Persian chai. It affords them an opportunity to think and socialize. They're a late sleeper late riser, though, and they pretend to be a morning person but they are not.
Devin: Only maintains habits by virtue of being a business owner and also the sort-of mayor. They're loosey-goosey with their schedule to a fault, and not as quirky as you might expect. They do talk with their hands, and more than one person has been accidentally (or on purpose...) bitch-slapped by Devin in the throes of an exciting anecdote. They also whistle when they're walking around except at night, which Marisol has picked up, and then Devin whistles back, and it's eternal whistling feedback loop.
Trace: Have you met Trace? Habits: 0. Quirks: yes.
"a clingy lover and prone to catastrophizing over people they care about." Oh Bautista you would've loved Waco, Texas by Ethel Cain
Oh Miss Ethel Cain we're really in it now....
Ooh, maybe 26 and/or 27 and/or 28 for the Greenwarden crew? IFs are truly amazing because playing the MC different ways could let you see all of these. Authors of IFs are the real ones because you write a story that is actually a hundred different stories. Noice.
26 - Interactions with their friends 27 - Interactions with their enemies 28 - Interaction with their lovers
Bautista: Friends and enemies kind of get the same cold stoic treatment-- hence why it's so hard for the Tracker to believe that Bautista honestly and wholeheartedly considers them their best friend. Friends and lovers are more likely to get nagged, as seen in-game, while enemies are just allowed to self-destruct, because fuck 'em. Bautista doesn't have time to babysit if they don't like you. Bautista's also a clingy lover and prone to catastrophizing over people they care about.
Nazeri: Much like Bautista, Nazeri -- while not quite as clingy -- is prone to nagging and fussing and "you'll get cold sweetie"-ing. They're the grandma to Bautista's grandpa, in a way. Unlike Bautista, Nazeri has a deep-seated need to be liked by literally everyone, and so they put on masks to be as appealing as possible to the widest audience. Those that genuinely dislike them are Spiders Georges, surely, and they definitely don't put people off with being two-faced, absolutely not. They tend to hyperfocus on people that actively do not want anything to do with them and see them as a challenge to be overcome, rather than just like. Toning it down a little. See: their weird Thing with the Tracker.
Devin: If they don't like you, you will know, because they'll make your life completely miserable. They hold some considerable sway in Warden, and are prone to power trips. It brings out the worst aspects of their personality and certain traumas I can't mention because they're spoilers. That being said, Devin is a fast and loyal friend and lover who might be the biggest realist out of the core four. They're great at bringing people down/away from emotional cliffs. They're also a hardcore ride-or-die. Lovers get absolutely spoiled, but need to get approval from Marisol the budgie before Devin even considers dating, which is harder than it seems.
Trace: If they don't like you they'll just eat you. Straight up. And they'll make it hurt, is the worst part; sort of like how wolves eat elk alive, but with the express purpose of drawn-out suffering. People Trace don't like don't last very long. Neither do people they like, really, which is where most of their favorite shells come from. Consumption and attraction go hand-in-hand for Trace, and despite being closer to human than Anomaly at the moment, that never truly goes away. They're clingy in a physical way; where Bautista and Nazeri are emotional clingers, Trace wants to climb inside your skin and live there with you. Constant physical contact is their bread and butter with both friends and lovers.
8 Bautista for normal reasons 💚 (this is Marti it won't let me ask on HF dsfjkhdskj)
😏 back at it again with the Man Smells huh
I regret to inform you that Bautista smells like Irish Spring and/or Old Spice body spray and a little bit of BO because they exclusively shower with Men’s 13-in-1. It’s not really even a sexy BO smell like Musk or whatever it’s just like. Normal body smell.
Favorite flavor of Old Spice: Cashmere Vanilla and Wood.
you regret to inform me that the sky is blue the water is warm and the day is long?
idk why my next thought was How To Win More Points Than Marti Next Round
Mentioning that Nazeri once spent hundreds of dollars on an expensive cologne from Paris only for it to smell like ripped ass?
Bautista smells like salonpas pain reliever patches and dollar store deodorant send tweet

13, for the Fury & TKP cast?
13 - Ideals and philosophies
Lane: Lane was raised in a community in which the community itself was the central focus, in stark contrast to the hyper-individualism of the Cities, and they're stunned by things like rampant homelessness and wealth inequality in the Cities because that's just. Not a thing?? Where they grew up. They more they learn about fascism and late-stage market capitalism, the more embittered they become towards the very concepts. A lot of their belief system comes from the idea that if they just tore down the Walls and ignored the old bitches up in the ISS, everyone would be happier. Obviously this isn’t a viable solution until the proletariat revolts and implements some kind of support system for the vulnerable, but they’re not thinking that far ahead yet.
Mattie: In VERY stark contrast to Lane, Mattie has never lived outside the Walls and can't physically travel outside them because of being wheelchair bound, post-apocalyptia being the ADA nightmare that it is. He's entrenched in the "everyone living outside the Walls is a suffering Mad Max-style raider" propaganda pumped out by the ruling class and is shocked when people actually choose not to live in a cyberpunk hellscape. Which. I mean. Considering most people living outside the Cities are decolonized indigenous-lead communities, is some substantial bias he has to confront when he meets Lane.
Marik: Believes he's the smartest man alive. Everybody else is an idiot. Etc. etc. etc. Also believes memory is stored in the balls genes. He’d lose his mind over Assassin’s Creed.
Mother: ????????? Who can say...
Sibir: Sibir wants to be left to their own devices at all times. They’re much like Tesias that way, except Sibir has always had the luxury of community support in the form of their mercenary band, while Tesias hasn’t. Ideologically, Sibir has the kind of “leave me the fuck alone” je ne c’est quois seen in most deep Appalachian communities, which is close to my own heart.
Lisandro: Lisandro can wax poetic all he wants about political theory, but in the end 1) he doesn’t even want to be king, 2) if he has to be king, he needs to be better than his father. Afonso the Bastard lived up to his name in many ways, and Lisandro grew to hate him right up until his death. He’s determined to be Afonso’s opposite.
Idali: Idali believes that she is the smartest woman alive, and is constantly frustrated when met with obstacles because of her assigned sexgender. Beyond that, she’s notably not really against the status quo, per se. If anything she could be considered a meritocratic capitalist, which is forward-thinking of her! And inarguably her least sexy trait.
Tesias: A rare Tesias non-spoiler ask! Tesias enjoys freedom, in all its glory, and philosophically is as close to an anarchist as you’ll get in pseudo-medieval Not Mexico. This has lead to a warped sense of justice for the oppressed, which you’ll see eventually, and a wanderer’s spirit. They’ve been all over the place on adventures you wouldn’t even believe, baby!!
themes in MY machine? its more likely than you think.
I named the boring gray one after Marik.
erinys now has themes. are they good themes? no. but the basic scaffolding is there for me to make them good themes eventually
best memory and worst memory for marik? im curious if rider is in both...
I mean obviously his worst memory is Rider's death, which he blames himself for. I guess you could say his best memory is meeting Rider, but they also met so long ago that memory isn't quite as sharp as watching his best friend/secret incel obsessive crush die horribly on live television. Second-best memory is probably watching the first fully realized Rider clone take their first steps out of the decanting tube, but it's less in a fatherly way and more in a "this is when my career truly peaks" way.
What would Nazeri think if they found out about Duarte liking Tracker more than them? Would there be any jealousy? They can bond over both having a Weird Thing for the Tracker, though I guess they'd have to get behind Baut to do that. The Tracker sure likes to make things weird with weird people (said with fondness).
Nazeri would immediately feel fucking SLIGHTED! They're supposed to be Duarte's Special Boy (gender neutral), although they do suspect that maybe Duarte's lenience with regards to the Tracker has something more to it than professional curiosity. They prefer not to think about it due to their aforementioned novelty-sized helium balloon ego.
That being said, Nazeri has met certain people in PIRA admin that makes them think the Tracker is probably a nepo baby of some way or sort, which immediately defangs them in Nazeri's eyes. It's not a problem. It's not a problem!!
