Could you possibly tell us more about the DJ Logan au?

“They didn’t expect to fall in love.”

Basically these three are aliens who have been sent to Earth to learn about their cultures through music. On their planet, all emotions are felt through expression of music. they don’t realize humans are different! When they are not learning through their secret identities, they head to a club owned by Thomas Sanders where they’ve parked their spaceship in his back yard and basically he agreed to let them stay so long as they help him at his work where they sing DJ and drum. 

Virgil, who had been crushing on his teacher all semester, finally tries to work up the courage to ask him out but alas Logan (who has been disguised as a professor) doesn’t understand the hint. Depressed, Patton drags him, Remy and Emile to dance and that’s where Virgil sees Logan and is like WAIT MY STUFFY TEACHER IS A DJ?!

And he gets all excited and works up the courage to ask if he can play with them on stage! Logan of course takes this as a DATE because sharing music is very intimate and only close friends do it but adding music to the score?!! THAT’S LIKE GETTING KISSED!!! 

Roman is of course already smitten with Patton because they sing together and he;s dying to take the cute round little bean back to their home planet so they can make sweet sweet music together (yes I mean that both literally and suggestively). Dee doesn;t know what to do because there are Two wonderful humans he likes??? One is so cheerful but he can;t hold a tune and the other is sassy and can sing like a diva and he is VERY PAN AND VERY FRAZZLED.

The first time Roman sees Patton at the club he thinks he's adorable. Humans are oddly shaped.... They don't have the extra arms they do and their legs are shaped strangely and missing a joint, but what he's notice is that humans come in so many shapes! Patton for example.... He's very round and that's absolutely adorable! Buuuuutt he's also so good at dancing, it doesn't matter what sing it is he just let's go and feels it and that's so attractive! Roman often sings specifically so he'll dance and he hears him shouting things like "Oh I love this song!" Before just having fun. When he got so excited he started singing right along with Roman the alien gasped, hearing his harmony fit perfectly with his own. Roman was quick to drag him on stage to sing with him and Roman's heart just melted because this is the one!! No one had ever matched his song before so perfectly!!

They kissed on stage, Roman isn't sure if Patton understands what just happened but he was all about trailing around the small human like a puppy because he was super lovestruck!!!

When Patton finds out he's an alien Roman thought he might be scared but two seconds after he showed him his alien body Patton was just like you have four arms!!! THAT'S SO MANY MORE ARMS TO HUG WITH!! And like Roman really shouldn't have been surprised. XD

Ok I said Emile plays ukulele but just imagine that Emile is actually not musically inclined at all like... He has absolutely no musical talents at all. Imagine how weird that would be for B@ckBe@t??? Like He's so drawn to him but he has no idea why and then one day Emile is excitedly talking about one of his favourite cartoons and Dee just lights up because oh... oh it's not the physical music he's drawn to.

Emile's heart is singing 24/7 about what he loves and what he thinks and feels. His genuine love for everything and his go to attitude is like a silent song that Dee can't help but love all so much.

I have a question about the alien DJ au! You said that Ro, Lo and Dee came to Earth to learn about its cultures through music. Do they each specialize in a specific type/genre of Earth music once they are here? (PS. I love this au a lot, it's so wonderful!)

They know many forms of music and on their world each individual has their own form of musical expression to show their emotions. Logan specializes in 80s type synth and tecnho.

Roman can vocalize in many forms of music but generally sticks to soft lovesongs and pop songs because they are closest to how he sings in general.

Dee does not sing but he expresses his emotions in the form of rhythm. It's why he's a drummer. If you catch him tapping or thrumming a beat it's because he's happy or a slow best if he's sad or a really quick staccato if he's excited. He's very very physical in that way, if you hug him and you pat his back he knows immediately you must feel as happy as he does.

Their planet is very distracting if you aren't used to it..... They have special songs for special occasions and songs for personal occasions. They have personal soulmate songs which people in love tend to make together (which is how they all know they're meant to be with these humans) and know music instinctively alongside physically and they can see music along with feel and hear it.

wait so in your Alien DJ au (amazing au btw i love aliens and synthwave) Logan is a teacher at Virgils school right??? so wouldnt there be wacky and awkward stuff happening once they kinda fall in love bc..teacher student stuff????? (o 3 o)

Logan used to be his professor the previous semester and Virgil was crushing on him but once he was done with that class he was like ok he's not my teacher I can ask him out now! But he does and Logan Doesn't Realize he's asking him out on a date and flat out says he's busy.

Virgil feels dumb andd to cheer him up they go to the club and ooph THERE IS LOGAN and he's like ok maybe he didn't understand this is my chance!

i was just thinking abt your dj au and imagined like a cute little scenario where one of the aliens (not necessarily one of the boys, just an alien from their planet) has a deaf human soulmate and at first theyre sad because their human cant hear their music but then the human shows them how they can still enjoy it by feeling the vibrations of the music. (idk if it makes sense, but it made me happy 😊)

I imagine being deaf on their planet happens sometimes too and that feeling the rhythm is also extremely important! This idea is so cute!!

Omg i know this is incredibly random but i was looking at your dj au and i just thought- yeah emi cant carry a tune for anything even instruments but i just had the image of Dee playing and instrument and remy singung along and all of a sudden Emi, like literal sunshine, just twirls around and happily dances around to their music and is just a very wiggly happy bean

And Dee just JUMPS to his feet because !!!! HEART MUSIC!! And they dance together and they’re so happy!!!
