Our Thoughts Attract Like-Thoughts and Mindsets
This book, Thought Vibration or The Law of Attraction in the Thought World, by William Walker Atkinson is starting off to be one of those books that give me a greater understanding of this thing called "The Law of Attraction". I'm one of those people who likes to know the root of things so I can better understand where it is now. I like to know I'm not off on a tangent of something that started off one way and winds up something totally different. Besides, if I'm gonna live by something then I'm gonna research it. If it was something else in the beginning then I want to know.
When Ideas Change Minds They Often Change Direction
Everyone has the ability to interpret others ideas. These interpretations are better known as Opinions. I feel most comfortable getting information as close to the source as I can. If someone notable, like Jesus, is quoted then I want to hear it from the dude Jesus was talking to. If I don't get it from that dude then I know the quote is most likely opinion on what Jesus said. If it's opinion then I use it like any other opinion. I can take it or leave it based on how useful it appears to be to me.
This may be pointless, I guess since I can't be sure any thought is original. However, this book seems to be better at explaining the Law of Attraction than any other book I've run across since I was introduced to the law. The fact that it was written back in 1906 when the New Thought Movement was in its infancy, just makes it more up my alley.
I find it interesting Atkinson says we attract circumstances tuned to the thoughts we have. For instance, if I'm mean and belligerent I will attract situations and circumstances that will allow me to express those thoughts and emotions. Anger thoughts within attract situations in tune with that anger. Peace within attracts peace.
Bodybyloud! Beautiful Life Tribe
This post is about what we can learn from this book. The ideas that energize me and resonate with my understanding shall be added to this post and Bodybyloud! as I read on. If you happen to join me in this quest for knowledge and would like to share your opinions on the book, come join the discussion in the Bodybyloud! Beautiful Life Tribe. That's what it's all about. How can I use this new found knowledge to make things better for myself and others?
