Pioneer DJM-2000nexus: The Mothership updated
I tend to look at Pioneer has the Lexus or Acura of DJ equipment – there is hardly anything they create that isn’t appealing to the eyes. Pioneer has never delved in the low budget area of the market, and their gear, from headphones, to CD players, to controllers, to mixers, has always looked top notch and ahead of the times in technology. Less than a decade ago, if you had a DJM-600 or the newer DJM-800 you were considered a real bad dude as these were simply the epitome of a well built 4-channel mixer. Fast forward to today and the DJM-2000 is where it’s at. For some, however, this monstrosity of a mixer (I say that in a good way) is not enough. Enter the DJM-2000 Nexus. It’s hard to think of what else could be crammed into this mixer, but Pioneer, with their infinite wisdom, has figured out that digital displays could be put to better use using touch screen technology. This ability to actually use your fingers as inputs on the screen negates the need for extra static button or knobs. They have also integrated Rekordbox features to this mixer which allows 4 CDJs to be BPM sync’d simultaneously. http://djworx.com/pioneer-djm-2000nexus-the-mothership-updated/
