Normally I would just list my sit/starts and write a few notes on them. This week, I’m going to do thing a bit differently. I reached out to some of 816podcasting.com followers and asked for any sit/start questions. This was a huge success. I received a ton of starting lineup questions. In one forum, I received close to 50 question in less than an hour. I will try to answer as many as I can. Let’s get started…..
Pick 3, Standard scoring.
Nick Chubb, Chris Carson, Adrian Peterson, Phillip Lindsay, Tarik Cohen.
3 of these names stick out to me.
Chubb vs Kc —- kc allows 127.6 rushing yds per game
Carson vs Cha—- Seattles has a new dedication to the run
Peterson vs Atl—- Ap has been a workhorse for Wash.
In standard scoring, we are looking for players that have the most potential to score touchdowns. Theses 3 players have the best chance to score a touchdown.
Deshaun Watson vs Denv or Ryan Fitzpatrick vs Caro?
Tough choice. I wanna say Watson, but Fitzmagic potential intrigues me. I’m going to lean Fitzpatrick because Carolina has less of a pass rush, and lesser defensive backs.
Doug Baldwin, Corey Davis or David Moore?
This one is easy. Baldwin and Davis. Both of them are the teams #1 wide receiver. They receive the most targets from their quarterbacks. David Moore is the Seahawks #3 wide receiver.
Mitchell Trubisky or Phillip Rivers?
I’m going with the old man. Phillip Rivers has been brilliant this season. 17 tds and 3 ints. 117.8 QBR. He has the better weapons in, K. Allen, Ty Williams, M. Williams, M.Gordon, A. Ekeler.
Tyler Lockett or Demaryius Thomas?
Another Layup. It’s Tyler Lockett! Lockett has scored in 6 of the 7 games played this year. In fact, Lockett is the teams leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns. DT, is joining a new team that already has a star wide out. DT needs to learn the playbook and gain the trust of a QB he has never played with.
Keenan Allen or DJ Moore?
Allen squares off against Seattle. DJ faces Tampa Bay. I can see why you have questions! Moore faces the softer defense while Allen faces the tougher match up. Allen has at least 5 targets in every game this season while DJ Moore has 5 targets in the last 3 games. Allen is still a top wide receiver, while Dj is a developing asset. Targets are the lifeline of the wide receiver group. Allen has 3 times the amount of targets than DJ. Allen all the way.
Kirk Cousins vs Det or Matt Ryan vs Wash?
Both of these guys are facing tougher defense than people think. Detroit is giving up a paltry 223 passing yards per game. Washington is only allowing 242 passing yards per game. In 4 games against Wash, Matt Ryan averages 236 passing yds 1 td and 1int. Cousins had 301 passing yards and 1 td the last time he faced the lions. Im going with Kirk Cousins.
That’s all the time I have! thank you for the quick response also thank you for reading.
