Self Portrait in progress 😘 I’ve always loved drawing portraits, partly because Im better at it than imagining a new face all together. I decided to work on likeness because I have a theory that if you practice drawing features as close to the original as possible, than other imagined faces will start having different features as well instead of having “same face” syndrome. Maybe my style is more realism? still tryin to figure it out. I think the biggest obstacle Im having is blending skin tone because I usually do charcoal and pencil drawings when I do portraits and I cant seem to figure out how to make sharp edges without lines. Also mos def an old selfie 😅 Any tips are welcome :)
Art Prompt: Luminous Lady This prompt took me some time as I am exploring form and shapes a bit more. I wanted to include her hands and feet because they have always been a challenge for me and I think I did pretty well for not being in practice for a few years. I really enjoyed creating her hair, and her shine. I might come back to this one in the future and experiment a bit more with light and textures, and maybe include a proper background once I have practiced a bit more.
Emery is a punk elf gal/ 25 yo pansexual She spends most of her money on getting piercings and tattoos She's a bartender at the local gay dive and its the only place she really feels at home, she absolutely loves her regulars. Shes standoffish and aloof to new people. Shes constantly changing her hair to the coolest new trends like mo-hawks and mullets. She has her own twitch gaming channel as income on the side and she's actually better than most girls who stream. ( though she doesn't think shes special) Shes an awesome vegan cook and was once arrested for protesting against the cruel treatment of animals. She lives alone so she walks around in her underclothes all the time (hence the photo) She has several pets she's taken in from friends who couldnt take care if them, all named after gay gods
Narcissus: her prized albino ball python whom she calls her pretty boi Apollo: old black cat that likes to wake her up in the morning with soft kitty kisses and loud meows Caliisto; One eyed orange kitten who is super fiesty and clumsy
