I cried myself to sleep after the final match between Lee Chong Wei and Chen Long. Not because he lost but because I’m so proud of him and I know all of Malaysia loves him. He is so humble and down-to-earth. During the interview when he said ‘sorry’ I burst into tears again because he didn’t need to apologise. He’s one of the top 10 richest male Olympic athletes (next to Michael Phelps!) and yet so humble. I wish more Malaysians are like him. He is still the number 1 badminton player in the world according to the BWF World Ranking and I hope he stays that way until his retirement. All the best Dato, love you so much.
