Sirius is mostly awake when he feels the soft brush of a kiss against his cheek, grumbling unhappily when Remus scoots away from where he was pressed against his back and gets out of bed, able to hear Teddy’s alarm beeping faintly down the hall as he squints his eyes open to glare at the open door that Remus has just disappeared through before turning his attention to the lightening window. He groans as he flops over onto his back, throwing his arms over his face with a sniff, listening to the sounds of the house waking up—birds crying outside, the waves crashing against the shore, Teddy and Remus speaking in hushed voices, the burble of the coffee maker—a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth when he decides that he may as well get up too. He waits until he hears Teddy vacate the bathroom before he sits up, snagging one of Remus’ discarded shirts from the laundry bin as he heads towards the hall, pulling it overhead and smoothing his hair back into place as he claims his turn in the bathroom, smiling when he spots a sticky note with a little crooked heart stuck to his deodorant.
