i have never used AI in my writing, nor will i EVER use AI to write, and if you feed my writing into an AI generator i will personally become your sleep paralysis demon.
i do not support JKR, or her views, and i beg of others in the fandom to stop supporting her financially. every single time you buy merch, stream the movies, etc, she uses that money to support anti-trans organizations. giving her money DIRECTLY hurts queer people. DO NOT watch that fucking show when it's released.
if you like my works, please drop a comment on ao3 and let me know! it's not just the characters that have a praise kink over here...

don't look much like a lover (doesn't mean that i won't try)
In the wake of his father’s death Sirius Black finds himself living on the North Carolina coast in the beach-themed love shack that Orion shared with his mistress. His plan for the summer is to finish writing his novel, get the house ready so that he can list it for sale, and get back to New York before the leaves can even begin to change.
Too bad his former college nemesis and fellow author Remus Lupin lives right next door, just as surly and withdrawn as he remembers him being, throwing a wrench into all of his carefully laid out plans.

your baby is the size of a...
“So get married,” Sirius says calmly, his scent giving absolutely nothing away as he turns towards him and stretches his arm out along the top of the sofa, arching a brow when Remus just gapes at him.
“To fucking who?” he asks, giving him a baffled look as he throws his hands up in the air. “Am I supposed to track down the man who knocked me up, whose name and appearance I don’t know, and ask if he wants a husband? Take out an advertisement in the Prophet, perhaps?”
Sirius gives him a flat look, tonguing the inside of his cheek before he looks away, eyes focusing on the wall next to the fireplace. “You could marry me.”
When Remus finds himself pregnant after a one night stand he knows that he won't be able to keep his baby, no matter how much he wants them, due to the Ministry's draconian laws against werewolves. Luckily, his best friend has a solution...

sharp as teeth and scars (i can't give you up)
The man, vampire, hovering above him and straddling his hips, his arms pinned beneath his knees, is beautiful.
He’s made of starlight, silver eyes burning in the dim light of the alleyway, white skin luminescent and almost glowing from within, fangs flashing as he licks his lips.
Their eyes meet, and the entire universe shifts on its axis, everything around them fading away into nothingness. His lungs feel frozen, those silver eyes staring into his very soul, and he’s never felt so terribly seen. He finally manages to gasp in a shallow breath, lungs filling with the scent of vampire, and instead of the usual panic and rage that accompanies it all he feels is a sense of peace.
He supposes that dying here, at the hands of the most beautiful creature he’s ever seen, isn’t the worst way to go.

Mean Wizards
“Who are the marauders?”
“They’re teen royalty,” Evan says, glancing over at the field, and Remus follows his gaze to a trio of boys making their way out onto the field, wind artfully tousling their hair like they’re currently shooting a shampoo commercial. “If Hogsmeade was The Daily Prophet, they would always be on the cover.”
“That one there, that’s James Potter,” Barty says, pointing at the dark skinned boy with messy hair and gold rimmed glasses, his gym uniform appearing to be several sizes too small. “He is one of the dumbest guys you will ever meet. Evan sat next to him in English last year.”
“He asked me how to spell orange.”
“And that little one, that’s Peter Pettigrew,” Barty continues, pointing out the smaller blonde boy, a muggle cell phone pressed against his ear, so focused on his call that he doesn’t even notice the dodgeball before it bounces off the side of his head. “Peter Pettigrew knows everyone’s business. He knows everything about everyone.”
“And evil takes human form in Sirius Black,” Barty says darkly, an unpleasant expression crossing his face.

all along there was some invisible string (tying me to you)
Remus never expected to fall in love with Sirius, the man his boyfriend cheated on him with.
Sirius, whose boyfriend cheated on him with Remus, also never expected to fall in love with him, but thinks it’s hilarious in retrospect.
-a series of moments from remus and sirius’ lives, set during and after the events of when i was an old cardigan under someone’s bed (you put me on and said i was your favorite)

Bad Moon Rising
It takes the Order nearly three months after the end of the war to remember he exists. Remus Lupin has given his life to the cause, and when he’s finally recalled from the field he discovers that everyone he loves is dead or gone. How is he supposed to continue when everything he lived for has been taken away?
-a raising Harry, wolfstar centric fic set after the events of the first wizarding war

four line sentences are good and okay. its cool. you dont need to end your setnence or that thought! add another comma or an em dash. everything will be okay. it makes sense and flows well. #awesome #mybehemothsentence
i keep getting this instagram ad for what i assume is a romantasy novel that begins w the phrase “imagine knowing your destiny in life…is to die” n it’s pissing me off SO BAD. everyone’s destiny in life is to die. that’s like. kind of the main one.
Idk who needs to hear this but Dead Dove: Do Not Eat is NOT a universal trigger warning, it means "heed the tags because what you see is what you get." You still need to tag your shit
Are you reading a multi chapter fic? Try leaving a comment when you take a break! Did I just remind you of a fic you read a couple days ago? Go back and comment on it!
"Reread kudos," keysmashes, and emojis are all good comments. Show those writers how much you appreciate them!
i think a lot of people want to be “unique” but at the same time are afraid of being actually different and/or incapable of having any original thougnts so they just adopt the traits of a subgroup that they think will make them special and quirky but they’re actually putting in a lot of effort to be exactly like everyone else in that group.
it’s always “I understand why you have an autism diagnosis now” and not “thank you for explaining the entirety of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster to me, I really enjoyed hearing about the Chernobyl nuclear disaster”
Some time ago i participated in @moonyfest as an artist for a fanfic from very talanted @sorealis.
Then i was not feeling well for a long time due to real life problems and wasn't in a right mindset for posting, but now i feel a lot better and it feels like it's time to share!
I'm quite proud of these pictures and very grateful for the opportunity to visualise such a comforting and nostalgic work. Thank you, sorealis!
I've seen a bunch of "fandom etiquette" posts on my dash today and I'm going to say something that is maybe going to be unpopular but;
The absolutely pervasive mentality that unwanted criticism or critique shouldn't be given and should be ignored is why fans of color don't stay in fan spaces.
And I am not going to mince words here:
A lot of you are racist. A lot of your fan works are racist.
That might have been difficult to hear. And if it was, you should probably reflect on why that was.
"Fandom etiquette" has created a space where fans of color either bite our tongues and eventually leave or say something, get dogged on, and then eventually leave.
So much of "fandom etiquette" seems to be about insulating creatives from Feeling Bad and hostility to any kind of negative feedback is a pretty big contributor to why bigotry festers in these spaces.
#imo the potluck analogy applies- it would be rude to critique someone's icing technique at a potluck bc it wasn't as good as at the bakery #but if they had decorated their cupcakes w hate symbols it wouldn't be rude to tell them that's gross and gtfo #in fact it would be inappropriate to NOT say anything in that situation #or to complain that another guest who did point it out was 'ruining everyone's potluck' #and pointing out racism in fan works is 100% the second thing not the first! (via destructions-daughter)
There's also a tendency to conflate anyone who critiques general trends with bad faith randos. Like, there is fandom behavior that is 100% racist and should be talked about, but there are also trends of racist/sexist/ableist preferences.
If I say "I am uncomfortable with fandom's tendency to write trans men as feminine and submissive" I do not mean "I think every person who writes feminine submissive trans men should be chased with pitchforks". I don't even mean "any cis-person who writes feminine or submissive trans men should be chased with pitchforks". I mean "I would like writers to seriously think about why this is so common, why they write that, and if it fairly and genuinely engages with what it means to be a trans man, or if they just think it's hot when submissive people have vaginas and didn't want to write omegaverse of m/f".
Similarly, when people say "fandom is systemically less interested in black characters, less willing to give flat black characters rich fanon than flat white characters, and less interested in black characters in ships", the response is not to explain why you, personally, just happen to like popular white guy in that fanon. Your job is to look at yourself and ask if you tend to "just happen to be more interested" in the popular white guy across fandoms, be honest, and start unpacking that. Sometimes it's easier to love the flat character who's already getting 10,000 fics with headcanons and art and meta.
If somebody says "I wish there were more gluten free options at the potluck. I hate always showing up and not finding anything I can eat*", they are not asking you to throw your cake in the trash and weep. They do not want to hear your long speech about how actually this is your grandmother's recipe, and you've tried it with rice flour actually, but it just didn't work. You think about what you can do, and you listen to how they feel.
*The metaphor here not being that you can't read fic that isn't "good rep". The metaphor here is that it can be isolating to be in spaces where nobody is trying to make sure people like you are welcome.
