I literally bawled my way through this episode. I thought that I was through the worst of it last update, silly me, this is DLS after all...

But just reading this really illustrates the situation so well when Vlad meets her again, after so many years! From the update of January 2022: one, two

Anyway I just can't be normal about this book.

I think everyone is overlooking a very important detail in DLS. In fact let’s not forget that Laia is in her early twenties so she was more or less a teen in 2008 when the first Twilight came out so it’s obvious why she is in love with Vlad.
