A Visit to DM16
The DM16 presentation proved to be a very useful insight into what current practitioners are creating. This years presentation was based upon the city and identity, therefore many of the practitioners showed interesting works of how people interact with the city. For example, signage is often an element of design which can be overlooked however it is an essential element of city design, in order for people to move around efficiently. Also, the way people move around in a city centre can be monitored and design can work to interact with people - in a more personal manner.
Overall I found the presentation very interesting, as I had not seen the work of the practitioners whom were given a platform. It was great to see how passionate they were about their work.
