Duel Monsters - Episode 219
You would think the episode where Atem learns his true name it’s been 14 years would have some priority in looking good.
Today’s images are of Steelie Insert Type 9, Part #dm219 Shown with the Brake Rotor Add-On. These heavily cut-out inserts really show off the brake rotors and look nice. Note that I’m still not doing any painting of these wheels yet. I want to show each Insert in basic form before going wild with paint and effects. Thanks for looking! . #hotwheelscustoms #matchboxcustoms #hotwheelspics #matchbox #hotwheels #customdiecast #customhotwheels #builtnotbought #mycustomhotwheels
Day 322: Refugee One via DM219
Today's give comes from a recommendation from Sarah-Shine on Tumblr. Sarah is an alum of Niles North High School and is still involved in what they do with the Dance Marathon and uses what she learned from working in that organization in her everyday life and looking forward to turning those skills into a career.
Dance Marathon essentially is the collective effort of students, teachers, and the entire community surrounding District 219 to raise funds for a selected charity and where people come together and make a difference. It is an annual event that takes place in early May of every year and lasts for eight hours. This year they are raising money for Refugee One.
Refugee One, formerly called Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Ministries (IRIM), is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to refugees and immigrants resettling in the Chicago metropolitan area. Every year, they assist more than 3,000 refugees and immigrants from around the world to find housing, learn English, acclimate to American culture, develop computer and other employable skills, find jobs, obtain medical and other care, access the public school system for their children, apply for citizenship, and obtain care for elderly family members. The majority of refugees are displaced due to their homelands ongoing war or persecution. In the past, the U.S. saw major resettlements of refugees from Eastern Europe, Vietnam, the former Yugoslavia, and various African countries.
