I'm back at the Lividity x Iksa building, population: me
“You helped build this mythal as much as everyone else. Even more dare I say,” Iksa is gentle and slow in her affection. She’s always been, like she’s still scared of Lividity jumping away from any of it. She would be right of course, she always is. Such a good cleric of knowledge she is, smart as a mouse. She also scrunches her nose when she’s thinking really hard. And she’s equally annoying. A green, annoying, big mouse.
Lividity, on the other hand, is tense as a bow string. They’re two seconds away from running from this bed into one of their usual corners where she can observe and judge and find the nearest escape route from this conversation.
“You guided us to the place. You helped us find the tears. You killed that horrible woman and protected everyone, saved as many as you could.”
“Nineteen people died, maybe more, maybe I’m counting wrong.”
“And I would never resent you for it. Elias lived. Prumpkino and Eloin lived. I lived. Many others did, because your blade took the right aim that awful, awful day.”
Gentle as a feather, she combs a strand of hair behind Lividity’s ear.
“You deserve to be celebrated and cherished as much as any of us.”
