Watching DMC: The Animated Series be like-

couldn’t decide between her design in the anime or one inspired by morrison who was changed to be black in dmc5 !! so i like both a lot :3

if they make dmc6 they need to bring my daughter back also yes my oc genevieve was her babysitter yes i think they go to the park and eat ice cream together while patty infodumps her entire life to her and gene sits there silently just nodding

Dante really sounded like he was ready to fight with an 8 year old over a strawberry sundae

Held on to these for a while, but I got to go to a winter con for once earlier this year so TV!Dante cosplay be upon ye

Kills me how no one was able to protect Dante from the demonic horrors he first experienced at 8 years old (Eva tried) and everyday since.

Then decades later he meets Patty, another 8 year old child, being hunted by demons and he tries to shield her from those same horrors even though he occassionally fails at it.

And when he's not able to protect her from all of these horrors he still tries to at least keep the worst of it away from her.

(like when he lies about what happened to Modeus, who she was becoming friends with)

Even then, by the end of the series she seen so much of it despite his best efforts :(

But, they've found her mom alive and well and he wants Patty to live with her and have a normal happy life (the kind he never got to have)

He loves this kid so much man.

(And then she stays a part of his life anyway. She comes back to the Devil May Cry to visit/help out cause she loves him and the rest of the DMC gang just as much)
