Breaking Nick: Agitator by Early Light by John Griggs Via Flickr: See the "crop circle" like patterns in the dust. Took me a few minutes to figure out: it's where the water drips off the seams in the cone at the rivet line. These are just a teaser from my first visit to an abandoned coal breaker in the western middle fields of central Pennsylvania's anthracite coal country. I arrived there just before sun up and shot throught the early morning. Taken with a Panasonic G5 (DMC-G5) and Olympus 9-18mm lens. Please visit the Entropic Remnants website or my Entropic Remnants blog -- THANKS!

Panasonic Lumix G5
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of Panasonic's Lumix camera series and they have released a very appropriate successor to their Micro Four Thirds G-series: the Lumix DMC-G5, updated with some new exciting capabilities.
The digital single lens mirrorless camera features a 3-inch LCD screen and a sleeker, more rounded body. The LCD now comes with a feature called 'Touchpad AF'. It allows you to move the AF area across the frame with your finger on the LCD while you're framing the shot through the EVF.
Under the hood, the camera sports a 16-megapixel Venus Engine VII sensor capable of shooting Full HD 1080p videos in AVCHD format at 60fps and stills in up to 6fps bursts at a max 12,800 ISO at full resolution. The continuous shooting rate has also been bumped up compared to the DMC-G3, from 4 to 6 frames per second.
“The G5 is a versatile and compact camera that is designed to make photography simple and fun. This camera comes packed with features that will allow users to capture the perfect moment effortlessly,” said Hitesh Ojha, the deputy general manager, digital imaging, Panasonic, Middle East and Africa.
Well we certainly like the sound of that!
