...so like the past few days i’ve just been super gung ho about dimilix and babies and ended up drawing these

tbh i think dmfx reconciliation convo would look nothing like what i’d want it to look like (for my own personal cathartic satisfaction) if it were actually in canon djdhdjdj. felix speaks through action and then when he does try to express himself it’s really stilted and tbh the other person ends up doing most of actually verbalization anyways (think of his a support w/ ingrid or even w dimitri). like i don’t think dimitri will ever get anything like a speech from felix but tbh dimitri doesn’t necessarily want that anyways bc he speaks through action too.

so felix staying and being his hand pretty much ‘says’ what dimitri want to hear from felix and dimitri choosing to let go of the dead/revenge/hatred as his primary motivator is what felix would want to ‘hear’ from dimitri. like we already sort of see this when dimitri chooses to take back fhirdiad like felix doesn’t want an apology he wants action. and dimitri is similar—he DOES apologize in that scene and he definitely wants to but its important that he comes w a plan too and not just an apology. he also communicates through action which is why he has already made his decision regarding fhirdiad before he even confronted the group to apologize.

and then felix stays. he uses dimitri’s name. and then he stays!!!!!! felix will not stay in faerghus if dimitri is not there!!!! dimitri knows how significant it is that felix stays even if neither of them would necessarily be entirely conscious of how deeply dimitri factors into that decision. idk how to express it but it just means! so! much! that he stays!

so then dmfx post canon (imo) really needs to consider how they rebuild that personal relationship given that theyve chosen to? like they don’t know how to be close to each other anymore or maybe even communicate on a regular basis in non hostile ways like dhdhdjd it would be a lot of work !! but i love that idea… two people choosing to learn each other once again. love each other on purpose. they’ve filled the roles of their ‘destiny’ but it looks nothing like the preinscribed fate laid out for them and instead what theyve chosen for themselves. they are just dimitri and felix choosing each other <3
